Not only has my blog been dormant since October, but so have I. The last fall from my bike injured my shoulder badly. I couldn't lift my arm, had problems swimming and riding my bike. Then as the bad weather set in, it was an ideal time to relax and take it easy. The hospital told me to rest my arm and shoulder and it would heal....well it has. The downside to this, is that I have not done anything for 4 months!! It's hard now to try and get going again. Every day I am full of good intentions and that's about it. Also I have a new job and now work days :( so I can't go to the gym in the mornings like I used to. I don't like going in the evening, its packed, you can't get on the equipment you want and it smells sweaty. Yuk!
I will not be doing the Liverpool Half Marathon as I cannot run across the road. My next event (first of the year) is in 5 weeks time, the Pedal it Pink half marathon (cycling), next in 8 weeks a 10k which I intend to run most of and my first triathlon in only 10 weeks. Time to get my triathlon diary out and get a move on. To hell with everybody, this is now my time, my routine and my life. Getting this blog restarted hopefully will shame me into action. I have put on weight, so I need to get my diet back on track, lots of fruit and vegetables, no more sticky puddings!!
