Sunday Cycle

The weather today is lovely, really hot and sunny.  I set off to join everyone for the sunday ride, not really sure what to wear as I didn't want to get too hot, but likewise it can be cool cycling and I didn't want to get cold, in the end I wore my usual running leggings and running tops.
We set off at 9:40 aprox and went up through Walton, Hatton and Appleton Thorn, down through Arley and on to Budworth, we crossed the main road at Tabley and followed the road into Knutsford then we turned off into Tatton Park, where I thought we would actually stop for a rest, silly me, no we just cycled straight through, in one gate and out the opposite gate!  Then back through Rostherne village, which is really nice with lots of old Alm type houses. (I need to find out more about them).  We followed the road into Lymm, where I hit a big hole on the incline just past the dam.  It really hurt and I nearly came off, but I had to carry on, trouble was I had lost my speed so it was a real struggle.  We carried on through Lymm into Thelwall, Grappenhall and Stockton Heath, this last part was not too bad as its mainly flat.  Then uphill for the last leg into Walton.
By the time we got back to base I was roasting hot, but pleased with my self.  We did approx 32 miles in an average of 15.2 mph.
The only down side is I am not able to take photos while cycling and most of the time all you look at is the wheel or road in front of you.  I did sit up going through Tatton Park, the lake was calm and it really was nice.
