Why She does Tri?

One of the best ways to succeed is to have goals, achievable goals. I usually look for my favourite runs and book them, knowing that I am going to walk round.  But this year its going to be different.
My first goal is the CHI Challenge at work which I have to run 5k on 22nd March.  After organising that, I saw a notice on the board  about doing a Triathlon, with the comment "If I can do it so can you".  So I signed up for it, not realising at the time, that I cannot swim more than a couple of lengths breast stroke, cannot run and it took me 4 hours to cycle 26 miles.  So I really have my work cut out and that is why I am doing this blog.

So far I have signed up for:
19 April - Bike it Pink - a half marathon cycle ride around Sefton Park, Liverpool.
31 May - Sundog Triathlon in Nantwich. 500 meters swim, 20 k cycle and 5k run.
7 June - 10k Race for Life, Tatton Park.
5 July = 5k Race for Life, Arley Hall.
30 August - Women Only Triathlon, Lymm - 500 m swim, 20k cycle and 5k run.
4 October - Baxter's River Ness 10k.

If I can raise the sponsorship I will walk the Great Wall of China.  That's enough goals for one year.  Follow my blog and see how I get on.
