Setting off through Warrington, under the railway bridge by the River Mersey.I set off at 8:30 and cycled to Walton Sports Club where the Warrington Triathlon Club meet on Sundays for a team ride. As there were other races today only a few people turned up. Everyone was nice and made me feel welcome, there was another lady who is a complete beginner too. We got on well together. It was obvious from the minute we got on the road to start off, that my bike is just not suitable. I need a proper road bike, streamlined with drop handle bars. My sit up and beg was just really hard work. The wind didn't help, with gusts at times nearly blowing me off and then on the way back it was against me most of the way. Just for good measure it managed to rain too, but not too heavy and not for long.
The Road to Arley.
The Road to Arley.Still it was a good ride, three and a quarter hours and I did approximately 22.31 miles. I cycled from Walton to Arley and back via Stockton Heath. I went over a bump in the road in Stockton Heath and my front light fell off! Its new I only got it last week, but it shattered on the road and the cars started to drive over it, so its completely destroyed. I need to buy a new front light and I will have to see about selling my bike and getting a more suitable one.

My front light was a casualty right by this sign!
