Race for Life - Tatton Park 10k

Arrive at Tatton Park in plenty of time, it was rather overcast and chilly so I sat in my car for a while. Eventually made my way over to the toilets, the queues were really small for a change.
We had the warm up and then I started with the joggers. I was wearing my heart monitor so couldn't tell what time I was doing. Basically when my hr dropped to 135 I jogged until it hit 164, although I did peak at 174. I did that throughout the run. There was only one water station on the route which was at about 5.5k, at that point my mouth was bone dry and my hands had pins and needles. The location of the run was faultless, I even saw a bit Stag less than 10 yards from me, he was running along in the opposite direction to us. This was a nicer route than the one used for the triathlon, we ran alongside the lake too, it looked so inviting.
No goodie bag at the end, you have your t shirt sent so you have it for the run, at the finish there was just a bottle of water and medal.
Not a very good time, 1:21:42, I have done better. I need to work on my running over the winter, it really is my worst discipline. Average hr 145.
