Just thought I would add a little piece about nutrition, or my nutrition to be precise. I have been sticking to a sort of routine in my eating habits. Oatibix with cinnamon and granola, semi-skimmed milk for breakfast; mixed seeds for mid morning snack, lunch usually home made soup and oatcakes, fruit throughout the day and an evening meal which would be whatever everyone else was having. My downfall, ice cream, I love it, I could live on it. It doesn't matter what the weather is, ice cream either in a cone or in coke (coke float), or simply just a bowl full. I never say no.
Two things have emerged from this, one I have started to fall off the wagon, so to speak, and have started eating more sweet stuff as the weather has improved, so my weight/fitness has plateau'd out and there is no improvement. Secondly, I have struggled to do some of the training and I realised this was because I wasn't eating enough carbohydrates to provide the energy. I have been sensible and made sure I had water to drink when exercising, but not sensible when it came to food. On occasions I have been so tired I have been going dizzy, just no energy. I have started to correct this, and the change is really noticeable. I have more energy to exercise, still struggle with the breathing, but I am getting there.
