Trying not to Drown

Saturday afternoon I went along for the swimming session.  I had been working since 7 am so was not at my best, however I am pleased with the results.  I have got the hang of breathing at last and its just practice now putting the breathing and swimming together.  I only managed to swim for 45 mins and then I was starting to get a bit dizzy, I should have eaten something in the afternoon before going, I will remember for next time.  I got home, had dinner, showered and went to bed, fell asleep within minutes...but...only for about an hour, then I was wide awake and boy did my legs ache.  I just couldn't get back to sleep so spent the night tossing and turning, today I have ordered some balm to ease my muscles for next time.
Sunday, it was lovely so off I went on my new bike.  I worked out a route around Warrington on main roads and cycle paths.  The only problem I had was how the heck do the gears work!  I have never seen gears like them, just a paddle inside the break handle.  I managed to get the gear onto the lowest cog, then couldn't figure out how it moves back.  I knew it had to be something simple but it really had me tearing my hair out.  Then after cycling for about 5 miles I did it by accident, you have to move the whole break handle....I knew it had to be something simple.  I only did about 7 miles today, but my bike is amazing so much nicer to ride than my daily bike, so light and I can really go fast.  Timing was good too, just got back and the heavens opened and it threw it down.
All in all, a good two days.  I can nearly swim, nearly cycle just have to sort out the running, easy peasy - lol.
